Harlequins is a character in the Italian
“Commedia dell’arte.” This comic
figure often wears garments with
colourful diamond shapes patches,
often in flamboyant silhouettes. The
print is often compared to corrupt
jesters or clowns and has been often
seen in many different interpretations
in fashion.
